This is research, honestly!
And should also be a bucket load of fun.
I have enrolled on a course to become a parapsychologist.
Sounds like nonsense? Honestly, stick with me on this one, because it isn’t.
Whether you believe in ghosts and such things is not important, it is the why people believe in such things that is interesting, and parapsychology can explain some of that. Not all, but most of it. I write ghost stories, sort of, although like real life, you never know if those ghosts are real or not. This was inspired by two incidents in my own life, one of which remains beyond any plausible explanation to this day, and another definitely all in my mind. By taking the time to study parapsychology properly, I hope to understand the reasoning behind both of these. This will help me understand David Hammond the character I have created, and what he does.
So you see, it isn’t nonsense. I want to know what makes David tick, the things that he understands about supposed hauntings that I don’t, so studying this course makes perfect sense.
And boy will it be fun when we get to poltergeists.

Ok, so my X husband committed suicide. We hadn’t talked in 25 years or more, but I kept seeing this shadowy figure in my house. I came in one night with my dog and she froze. We both saw the shadow. Because I’m me, I wrapped my arms around my girl and introduced myself and her to the shadow. I asked if it needed help it would have to come in my dreams, because I don’t know what to do when I’m awake. And sure enough he did! He was lost and didn’t know who I was. I clearly remember showing him the way. It was an interesting experience. I think sometimes the dead need help.
Also substack keeps running psy-ops on me, and so today I don't have like buttons on posts, or I would have liked this too.
